Subject: [Eeglablist] POSTDOCTORAL POSITION - INSERM’s ‘Cognitive
Neuroimaging Unit'
Date: Tue, 22 Jun 2010 14:53:02 -0700

POSTDOCTORAL POSITION - Applications are invited for a postdoc position
supervised by Ghislaine Dehaene-Lambertz to work on consciousness in
infants using EEG. The team is part of INSERM’s ‘Cognitive Neuroimaging
Unit' (http://www.unicog.org
<http://www.unicog.org/> <http://www.unicog.org/> , director : Stanislas
Dehaene) at NeuroSpin (director : Denis LeBihan) in the greater Paris
region. NeuroSpin is a newly opened outstanding interdisciplinary
research environment that houses several research laboratories and
combines expertise in cognitive neuroscience and neuropsychology,
magneto-electrophysiology, high field MR imaging and imaging data
analysis. The project is part of an European community project to study
consciousness in adults, monkeys, infants and comatose patients. The
postdoc will program and analyse EEG experiments (subliminal
presentation, stimulus collision, etc..) in infants and discuss the
results with the other teams involved. Applicants should have a PhD
degree in Neuroscience, Medicine, Psychology, or related areas. Prior
experience with skills in EEG/MEG analysis is welcome. Salary will be
commensurate with experience within the salary scale of the French
public research organisations (~2100 euros per month). The position is
funded for one to five years, and should be started during autumn 2010.
Applications will be considered until the position is filled. For
further information or to submit an application (including the names of
two referees) please contact Ghislaine Dehaene-Lambertz,
email: ghislaine.dehaene(a)cea.fr <mailto:ghislaine.dehaene@cea.fr>

Dear Users
There will not be a seminar at 4 pm today.
Normal service will resume for the last 2 weeks of term:
24th June
YNiC project proposal
Garreth Prendergast, YNiC
"What does the auditory steady-state response phase-lock too?"
1st July
Koen Haak, University of Groningen

Just to clarify, if anyone thought that the previous message sounded a
little harsh: the open plan area will have a large meeting taking place
there on Friday morning, 10.45am onwards. However if you want to use the
cluster you are welcome, just bear in mind that there will probably be
around 25 people attending the meeting in that area.
Richard
For your information, and forward planning:
The Open Plan area is going to be off-limits this Friday morning, for
approximately 3 hours, 10.00am -13.00.
A Wellcome-Wolfson meeting will be taking place there during that time.
The area will be closed to anyone not invited to the meeting. Apologies
if this causes anyone any problems, hopefully you can make alternate
arrangements for a couple of hours.
