An Update to YNiC Opening Times

Hi All, We are still experiencing issues with our ongoing maintenance work. To ensure the safety of everyone using the building YNiC will not be accessible outside of working hours, effective immediately and until the maintenance work is complete. *New Temporary Hours (Monday - Friday):* - *Opening Time:* 9:00 AM daily - *Closing Time:* 5:00 PM daily Please note that the *remote desktop will remain accessible 24/7* throughout this period. We are working closely with Estates and the Biocentre to get everything back to normal as quickly as possible and we will send out another update as soon as 24-hour access is restored. We apologise for any disruption to your routine and greatly appreciate your patience and understanding. Hi All, Due to ongoing maintenance work at YNiC, the centre will be closed this evening from 5pm. We will be back open as usual tomorrow morning, and hope to have the remaining maintenance issues resolved to avoid any further disruption. The remote desktop will remain available should you need it. New YNiC Lead Technical Specialist

Dear all, As many of you are aware, Andre Gouws stepped down as our YNiC Lead Technical Specialist recently. I am please to say that after a competitive externally advertised round of recruitment we have appointed Dr Elisa Zamboni. Some of you will already know Elisa as she was previously at York. She will be joining us on 1st October, so please make her feel welcome on her arrival. She is joining at an exciting time for YNiC. We are starting to look for funding mechanisms to upgrade our current MRI scanner, have recently purchased new TMS equipment, and have new clinical and clinical trial scanning to set up and support. Elisa will be a welcome addition to the team and will be integral to ensuring these new ventures are a success. Any questions, please get in contact with myself and Beth. As always, we want YNiC to be an open, accessible environment for existing and potential users so feel free to reach out to us whatever your future plans might be and we will do our best to support you. Upcoming Maintenance Work in YNIC (July 4th–5th)

Hello, Please be aware that maintenance work will be taking place in the YNIC this coming weekend (4th and 5th of July). On Saturday, the main work will be concentrated in the open-plan area. If possible, we recommend working via Remote Desktop on this day rather than coming into the building. On Sunday, workmen will be on-site in other areas of the Biocentre, so please expect some minor disruptions and noise throughout the day. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.
