YNiC Closures

Dear Users, Due to the external works (which you may have noticed in the YNiC carpark!) as part of the University's Deep Geothermal Energy Project <https://www.york.ac.uk/about/sustainability/campus-operations/climate-actio…>, we have unfortunately had to close the centre on a few occasions at short notice. We are working hard to liaise with estates to minimise the impact on users, however, we are sorry for the disruption caused to your research. We are hopeful that the only remaining closures will be on *Friday 12th*, *Thursday 18th *and *Friday 19th of June* as they are due to do some extensive drilling and this will affect our ability to collect useful data for your projects. We will update you if there are any changes to this. Thank you very much for your understanding, Katya

To help us with catering, please take a moment to fill out this short google form <https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeO1ryJCJxVu0Ni6yMP2cQ50t5sEwttnPS…> to let us know you are coming along. *🚗 Car Park Notice* There are ongoing works in the YNiC carpark as part of the University's Deep Geothermal Energy Project. <https://www.york.ac.uk/about/sustainability/campus-operations/climate-actio…> Access to YNiC remains unaffected, and alternative parking is available at the front of the Biocentre if it is needed for participants. *ℹ️ Scanner Availability* The MRI and MEG scanners will be *unavailable *on the *18th *and *19th of June* to accommodate disruption from the external works happening in the carpark. *🗓️ **YNiC User Inductions* If you are aware of any new students/staff that will require access to YNiC and/or an IT account, they must attend a YNiC user induction. This includes students who wish to attend the Data Analysis in Neuroimaging Course starting this semester. The next monthly induction will be on *Tuesday the 2nd of June, at 11:30am*. Please ask them to contact support(a)ynic.york.ac.uk to sign up. *🗓️ **Level 0 operator training* *MRI* Level 0 Training: *Tuesday the 2nd of June 13:00-15:00.* *MEG* Level 0 Training:* Wednesday the 4th of June, 10:00-12:00.* Please note that users requesting Level 0 training should be a PhD, RA/Postdoc, or staff, and should already have a project proposal submitted to YNiC. Please email support(a)ynic.york.ac.uk if you have any questions or wish to book on to this session. Please note that sessions are limited to 4 trainees, which will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Have a great week!
