Every year we perform an overhaul of all of the systems and software
within YNiC. Most of the work goes on in the background but for the
final part of this we need to close the Centre so that all the software
installs can take place and any necessary hardware changes can be made.
This year the Centre will be closed on the 21st and 22nd of September.
No computer services, including the remote desktop server will be

Hi all,
We've recently started seeing people using the remote desktop server to
perform large scale analyses. This is just a reminder that it is not
for that sort of work. Performing large scale analysis jobs in this way
impacts on other users of the system and has caused us to have to kill
jobs.
Large scale analysis jobs *must* be submitted to the cluster. This is
fairly straightforward for FSL jobs, MATLAB jobs, python scripts and
