As of 1st October this year, YNiC is re-introducing an induction procedure for new centre users. This induction will cover various health & safety, organisational and practical issues regarding using the centre. Induction sessions will take around one hour.
This induction is mandatory for all new centre users. To ensure this, fobs and IT accounts will not be issued to any new user who has not completed an induction. We have to be able to show the insurers that we have taken action to ensure that all users are aware of the issues involved in using the centre.
If you have been using the centre and have not attended an induction event in the past, please do take the opportunity to attend one of the sessions.

For taught courses (MSc / MPsych), we run a special set of induction sessions in the Autumn term. We would encourage new PhD students to also register to attend these sessions. This year, these sessions take place on Monday 5th October. Please contact reception@ynic.york.ac.uk if you wish to attend these sessions.
