invites applications for a
Junior Professorship in Model-Based Cognitive Neuroscience
The successful applicant will conduct research and teach in the area
named above.
Appointment requirements are governed by article 102a of the Berlin
Higher Education Act (/Berliner Hochschulgesetz/).
Candidates should have an innovative research program in the area of
model-based cognitive neuroscience. The appointee will have an
outstanding track record of university teaching and research using a
combination of functional neuroimaging (fMRI, EEG) and formal models of
cognitive processes, preferably with significant international
experience. Applicants should have a strong publication record in
international journals and should be familiar with grant-sponsored research.
Teaching responsibilities will primarily include courses for students
enrolled in the Social, Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience master’s
program, while the appointee’s research should focus on Model-Based
Cognitive Neuroscience. Active involvement is expected within the
Institute’s collaborative research projects.
The successful candidate will be appointed as a civil servant for an
initial duration of three years. Provided that her or his performance is
thereafter evaluated positively, employment may be extended for three
more years.
