*Description:*
The Psychiatry Research Division at The Feinstein Institute for Medical
Research and The Zucker Hillside Hospital has an opportunity for a
Research Scientist with expertise in structural and functional
neuroimaging to assist with and collaborate on the design,
implementation, and analysis of neuroimaging experiments.
The Psychiatry Research Division has a strong history of neuroimaging
work, which largely focuses on understanding the neural underpinnings of
major mental disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and
depression.
Job duties include:
. Collaborating with Research Investigators to carry out neuroimaging
experiments, including experimental design, data collection, and analysis.
. Perform data analysis for new and ongoing projects in the Division;
help set up standardized "pipelines" for data analysis.
. Assist in training research assistants, residents, and students.
. Assist in writing papers, grants, and presentations
. Documentation of work flow and procedures
*Qualifications:*
Ph.D or MD required
Strong organizational, communication and written and verbal skills
Experience working in a team research environment
Strong technical skills for the analysis of neuroimaging data are
required; expertise in functional MRI, diffusion tensor imaging, resting
state analyses, and machine learning are strongly preferred.
Strong programming skills, familiarity with Linux/UNIX based operating
systems and FSL, are required. Familiarity with python, Matlab and R are
strongly preferred.
Ability to manage priorities of multiple concomitant tasks.
