Assistant Professor - Section of Biomedical Image Analysis The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of biomedical image computing. Responsibilities include setting up an active research and teaching program around the aforementioned area, attract external funding, and cultivate collaborations with other Departments at Penn. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research and education.
The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. degree in a computationally-oriented field, such as Biomedical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and related fields, or an M.D./Ph.D. degree and is interested in a non-clinical tenure track appointment. The general area of emphasis includes molecular image analysis and integration of imaging and genetic/molecular markers for integrated and personalized diagnostics. The successful candidate will have demonstrated record of competence in both advanced image computing and bioinformatics is a plus. Interest in translational research is highly desirable.
