As part of Aston University strategy for investing in people and research, the School of Life and Health Sciences in partnership with the new forthcoming School of Medical Sciences wishes to recruit high quality early career researchers to enhance the world-class research at Aston around the following strategic themes. Tenure-track fellowships are available to provide the opportunity for researchers with a demonstrable track record with the potential to establish independent academic careers around the theme outlined below.
*Neuroimaging and neurodevelopmental disorders* Brain-behaviour relationships characterising typical and atypical neurodevelopment. Particular focus on biological risk factors in developmental dyslexia and in epilepsy.
*Candidate Requirement*: You will have a PhD, a proven track record of excellence with a research plan that is in line with the above themes. You will have the vision and drive to develop a prestigious research portfolio by working collaboratively with established scientists in our institute and help make a significant impact on the performance and profile of translational experimental research at Aston University. The post is available immediately for a period of five years with the expectation of progressing to an established academic post subject to meeting probationary targets. Interviews will take place in early August 2013.
Candidates must be able to take up the post before 1st November 2013.
