Dear all,

On Thursday evening at 6pm, the power to the Biocentre will be temporarily cut off. Due to this, we'll have to shut down all YNiC services including the desktops, cluster, servers, web servers and so on. YNiC will therefore close at 1700 to allow staff time to shut all services down in a clean manner. We also suggest that people refrain from submitting jobs to the cluster on Thursday afternoon as any which are on the cluster when we have to shutdown will be cancelled. We anticipate that power will return at about 9pm.

A seperate notice will be sent out about the psychology mail server.
