Research Assistant; Scientific Biomedical Data Researcher
(35 hours per week, for 6 months)
SALARY GRADE: UE07
Applications are invited for a research assistant, within the
University of Edinburgh, Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences. The
appointee will work on a project to assess existing data schemas,
(specifically neuro-psychological test instruments and/or
biological/clinical measurement and testing elements), and create data
element mappings between multiple distinct data schemas for the BRAINS
database: a database of brain images and associated clinical
information from healthy volunteers of all ages, from prenatal to old
age. The appointee will be line managed by Dr Dominic Job and will
work in collaboration with the Core BRAINS IT team and collaborators
within the University and other HE institutions and related project
(SINAPSE, FARR). Excellent statistical knowledge, an in-depth
understanding of neuro-psychological test instruments and/or
biological/clinical measurement and testing is required.
This post is full-time (35 hours a week) and is vacant now.
