FYI ------------------ Post-doc position available immediately within the Centre for Research on Ageing, Health and Wellbeing, College of Medicine, Biology and the Environment, Australian National University, Canberra, Australia. We are seeking a junior Postdoctoral Fellow to join a small collaborative team working on research aimed at characterising normal brain ageing in mid-life and into old age. This research includes using large neuroimaging datasets, studying cognitive correlates of age-related brain changes, identifying predictors and risk factors for brain and cognitive ageing, and test theoretical models of neuro-cognitive ageing. Working closely with Dr Nicolas Cherbuin, the research involves, processing and analysing structural brain scans and conducting research with a dynamic multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant will hold a PhD in Psychology or equivalent and will have a research record in a field relevant to the project with demonstrated experience in processing and analysing neuroimaging data using FSL/Freesurfer or equivalent. An interest in ageing/lifespan development research will be highly regarded.
