The Department of Neuro-oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a full time research assistant to work on several NIH and institutionally funded projects involving neuroimaging biomarkers of cancer progression and co-morbidities. Projects focus on improving pre-surgical fMRI mapping, determining neurobiologic mechanisms of cancer-related cognitive impairment, identifying neuroimaging biomarkers of brain tumor differential diagnoses, and measuring neurobiologic response to various pharmacologic therapies, among others. Responsibilities will include analyses of MRI, fMRI, DTI and MRS data from both human and animal subjects as well as consenting human subjects for study participation, administration of computerized tests, data entry and data management. Individuals with a Bachelors or Masters level education in neuroscience, biology, engineering or a related field with computer programming experience (e.g. Matlab, R, Python) and previous neuroimaging research experience are preferred.
