The Central Nervous System group of CRMBM (Center for Magnetic Resonance in Biology and Medicine) in Marseille (France) is seeking for 2 post-doctoral MR physicists. The successful candidates will work on the development at UHF (7T) of advanced acquisition and post-processing techniques on the new human 7T-whole-body MR system (Siemens, Step 2) in a multidisciplinary team (20 persons). The positions are fully funded for 24 months by the AMIDEX program (7T-AMISTART) of Aix-Marseille University.
*Position I (24 months): /_Development of acquisition and post-processing methods for sodium (^23 Na) MRI at 7T on human brain and _/* */_spinal cord_/* */_ of controls and patients with neurological diseases._/* _Required Qualifications_: ·PhD in Medical Physics, Physics, Biomedical Engineering or related areas. ·Experience in MR pulse sequence programming (ideally IDEA). ·Proficiency with programming languages (C, C++, Matlab). ·Experience in UHF (7T) acquisitions in humans. _Preferred qualifications:_ ·Experience in ^23 Na MRI ·Good publication record ·Good written and oral communication skills in English
*Position II (24 months): /_Development of acquisition and post-processing methods for ultra high resolution ^1 H MRI and SWI at 7T _/* */_on human brain and spinal cord of controls and patients with neurological diseases._/* _Required Qualifications_: ·PhD in Medical Physics, Physics, Biomedical Engineering or related areas. ·Experience in UHR MRI acquisitions in humans at UHF (7T). ·Experience in the use of multi TX/RX coils, SAR and B1 mapping methods. ·Experience in MR pulse sequence programming (ideally IDEA). ·Proficiency with programming languages (C, C++, Matlab). _Preferred qualifications:_ ·Experience in SWI ·Good publication record ·Good written and oral communication skills in English
