Applicants are sought for a one year postdoctoral position
(application deadline end of November) based in the Department of
Psychology, University of York.
The project will address neural bases of anxiety and fear using
magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and psychophysiology techniques (i.e.
fear conditioning). The project will enjoy considerable support and
local expertise both from the Department of Psychology and York
Neuroimaging Centre. The Department of Psychology has a purpose-built
and well-equipped psychophysiology suite, and MRI facilities,
alongside internationally renowned neuroimaging expertise, are also
available on campus. The appointed candidate will be expected to be
involved at all levels of the project (design, implementation,
analysis, and writing journal articles).
Candidate background: The most competitive candidates will likely
possess experience with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and be
seeking to apply such methods to psychopathology, or have an
individual differences/clinical background with a desire to acquire
MRI/psychophysiological skills. Individuals with other backgrounds but
a keen interest in such a project are encouraged to contact the
project organiser (details below) to establish suitability.
