The Department of Psychology at the University of Reading is seeking to appoint an outstanding lecturer (UK equiv. to Assistant Professor) to further strengthen the Department's academic profile and to support its ambitious expansion plans. The School hosts the Centre for Integrative Neuroscience and Neurodynamics (CINN) brain imaging facility, with research dedicated MRI, EEG, TMS and eye-tracking systems. The School also houses an NHS child and adolescent mental health clinic and a recently opened NHS clinic for research and treatment of dementia.

Applications are welcomed from researchers that build on existing strengths, with preference given to clinical psychology/neuroscience. You will have high quality publications and the talent and aptitude to succeed in an interdisciplinary and highly collegiate environment. Evidence of writing and gaining external grant awards is an advantage. Start up costs and dedicated access to facilities such as the MRI scanner are by negotiation.

You will have: - A doctorate in Psychology or a closely related area - The ability to undertake original research, with a strong recent publication track record - The ability to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in at least one core area of psychology - A commitment to excellence in teaching and research at all levels - An ability to work well with students and colleagues, and be respectful and considerate of the skills of others
