The Department of Radiology at the University of Minnesota seeks a
post-doctoral associate to be part of the Human Connectome Project (HCP)
(and sub-projects;
http://www.humanconnectome.org). The successful
candidate will be employed in the component of the HCP that focuses on
optimization of data acquisitions and data analysis for resting state
and task induced fMRI
(R/T-fMRI), and for high angular resolution diffusion imaging (HARDI) in
different subject populations.
They will be responsible for:
1) Data acquisition and optimization at 3T and 7T.
2) Testing, debugging and optimizing pulse sequences and associated
image qualities at 3T and 7T
3) Resting state and Diffusion Data pre-processing and analysis.
Requirements for this position are:
Essential Experience: Ph.D. or equivalent in physics, computer science
or biomedical engineering, or in neuroscience with extensive experience
in neuroimaging. Must be highly independent and self-motivated, but at
the same time able to work within a Multi-Institutional team. Experience
with fMRI data Analysis. Experience with Siemens MR operating systems,
including data acquisition at high field.
The candidate must present excellent analytical, problem solving and
interpersonal skills
Preferred Experience: Experience in the development and use of Pulse
Sequences in the Siemens Platform. Excellent written and oral
communication skills.
