the assistant professor level for a tenure-track position in Cognitive
Developmental Psychology to begin September, 2014. The successful
candidate will have a Ph.D. by the time of appointment. He or she will
show evidence of an active research program, capable of supporting
extramural funding that investigates theoretical aspects of cognitive
development across different parts of the lifespan. Areas of research
that bridge to current faculty are highly desirable. Appropriate areas

oriented laboratory courses and participate in our Ph.D. graduate
program.
Applicants should submit a letter of application, a C.V., a research
synopsis, a statement of teaching philosophy, copies of representative
scholarly work, and arrange to have three confidential reference

be directed to Keith Maddox, Interim Department Chair
(keith.maddox(a)tufts.edu).
Review of applications will begin December 1, 2013, and will continue
until the position is filled. Tufts University is an Affirmative
Action/Equal Opportunity Employer that is committed to increasing the
faculty’s diversity. Members of underrepresented groups are strongly
encouraged to apply.
