Dear users,
Following failure ("stuck" pixels) on one of the LCD chips of the
projector in MRI, the projector has been replaced today at midday.
Recently, blue dots began appearing on 'dark' parts of the screen
suggesting this sort of failure, and following investigation this has
proven to be the case.
In order to have as little impact as possible on current settings and
acquisition protocols, users should note that we have done the following:
1) replaced the previous projector with an exact duplicate from stock
(same make and model)
2) migrated the lamp into the replacement projector
3) ensured that the hardware settings ('brightness', 'contrast' and
'zoom' on the projector are exactly as previous)
4) migrated the optical long-throw lens from the old to replacement
projector.
Reiterating the messages sent before (below), users are encouraged to
recalibrate and/or model for the change in future analyses if they feel
this is appropriate.

To be clear, any data acquired as of 9am on Monday the 14th of May has
been acquired with a new bulb; data acquired before that was with the
old bulb.

repeating these measures and making any necessary changes as the lamp
brightness may now be different.
