Seeking applicants for a full time technical research assistant position starting immediately to assist in a study of higher cognition in adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders. The RA will work closely with Dr. Marjorie Solomon in a dynamic and friendly environment on a variety of projects involving fMRI studies with healthy and autistic subjects. Main responsibilities will be maintenance of lab fMRI scripts and analysis, fMRI scanning, library research and data analysis, assistance with grant and manuscript preparation, and project management. The scope of responsibilities is broad and may also include subject recruitment, subject assessment using neuropsychological and cognitive neuroscience methods, protocol scoring for assessment sessions, and supervision of undergraduate volunteers as required. Individuals majoring in psychology, neuroscience, computer science and engineering are encouraged to apply. Strong technical skills required. Previous experience in neuroimaging and programming as well as familiarity with Matlab and SPM preferred. This is an ideal position for someone interested in pursuing graduate studies in cognitive neuroscience or a clinical discipline drawing upon this area of basic science. We are looking for a one- to two-year commitment.
