*Postdoctoral fellowship in model-based fMRI of psychiatric disorders*
The lab of Prof. Tiago V. Maia is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to
conduct research on model-based fMRI of psychiatric disorders. The lab
is located in the School of Medicine of the University of Lisbon
(Portugal). There may also be opportunities to spend time at the
Department of Psychiatry of Columbia University (USA), where Prof. Maia
also has a faculty appointment.
Research in the lab focuses on using fMRI, neurocomputational models,
and behavioral experimentation to understand the neural bases of
cognition and emotion and the disruption of these processes in
psychiatric disorders. Additional information, including a list of
publications, is available on Prof. Maia's web page:
http://childpsych.columbia.edu/brainimaging/CV_maia.html
Talented candidates from any background will be considered, but
preference will be given to candidates with expertise in one or more of
the following areas: fMRI, computational neuroscience, and/or behavioral
experimentation.
Funding is available immediately for a project investigating
reinforcement learning in Tourette syndrome using a combination of
computational modeling and fMRI ('model-based fMRI'). The successful
candidate would also have opportunities to work on other projects.
Candidates should send a CV and a letter describing their research
interests to MaiaT(a)nyspi.columbia.edu. Reference letters are preferred
but optional at this stage.
