Dear all,

As you may be aware, YNiC will be undergoing an extensive updating of its computing facilities over the summer. This large-scale project will require a full closure of the centre for two weeks. In order to allow the MSc students to complete their work, we have scheduled the work to commence immediately after the MSc project deadline (21st August).

YNiC will therefore be completely closed to users from 17:00 on Friday 21st August until 09:00 on Monday 7th September. We hope you understand that this time will allow us to perform the necessary work to update and imporove the facilities at YNiC.

[***** Please note that this will not directly affect the Psychology mail server (although a short outage period of a couple of hours may be necessary over one of the weekends - this will be arranged and announced nearer the time). *****]
