Hi Everyone,
Please see below for
information regarding a road closure near to YNiC next week, a reminder about making bookings at YNiC, our regularly scheduled training sessions, and the upcoming research seminar.
University Road Closure
Please be
advised of the following repair works to
the district heating main on University
Road at the junction of Morell Way, near
the Library Bridge. The work will
require a traffic management system, as
a result, there will be diversions in
place for pedestrians/cyclists and also
a one-way system for vehicles.
The work
will commence on Monday 9 May - Friday
13 May from 08:00 - 17:00.
Please relay this to participants and suggest allowing
extra time for journeys, if using
this route.
YNiC session bookings
We would like to remind all users that is important to ensure that participant R-numbers are added into session bookings at least 24 hours before the session commences. This constitutes a part of your ethical responsibility to provide informed consent and allow the subject time to reconsider their participation.
YNiC Seminar
The next YNiC Seminar will be held on
Thursday the 5th of May at 4pm both in YNiC and via Zoom. We have a presentation from
Dr Theodoros Karapanagiotidis, with a talk titled "
Measuring human conscious perception with MEG". For those attending in person, refreshments will be available after the seminar.
(Zoom meeting details: https://york-ac-uk.zoom.us/j/91726652237 Meeting ID: 917 2665 2237, Password: YO10).
YNiC User InductionsIf
you are aware of any new students/staff that will require access to
YNiC and/or an IT account, they must attend a
YNiC user induction.
Our next induction will be Tuesday the 24th of May, at 15:30. Please ask
them to contact
support@ynic.york.ac.uk to sign up.
Level 0 operator training:
The
next L0 training session will be held on Tuesday the 7th of June, 13:00-15:00. Please note that users requesting Level 0 training should be a PhD,
RA/Postdoc, or staff, and should already have a project proposal
submitted to
YNiC. Please email
support@ynic.york.ac.uk if you have any questions or wish to book on to
this session.
Please
note that sessions are limited to 4 trainees, which will be allocated
on a first-come first-served basis. Training must be booked at least a week before the session date, in order to reserve the scanner booking.
Cheers,
Rich
