*Senior Research Associate in Affective and/or Cognitive Human Neuroscience (1.0 fte)*
*Donders Institute**for Brain, Cognition, and Behaviour* *Closing date: Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.* ** *Job description* We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to apply for a senior researcher position in affective and cognitive human neuroscience. The candidate will have the freedom to develop their own line of research within the Memory & Emotion group of the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition, and Behavior. We are also expecting that the candidate adopts high-level responsibility for the group including day-to-day supervision of a small number of PhD students. ** *Work environment* The Donders Institute is one of Europe’s leading research institutions in systems level cognitive neuroscience with over 100 faculty members, and prides itself on the high level of collaboration within and between its constituent research groups. In addition to its state of the art imaging centre, where the candidate will be working, it has also a strong neuroscience centre focusing on clinical and animal research offering numerous opportunities for cross-border collaborations. We offer a dynamic, international, and well-structured work environment within the Memory & Emotion group. We study the brain basis of memory, emotion, and their interaction by applying an interdisciplinary approach integrating cognitive neuroimaging, genetics, pharmacology and diverse clinical disciplines. Our research is fundamental in nature, but with an explicit aim to enable personalized care in psychiatry by providing mechanistic insight in stress-related pathophysiology and to innovate education by neuroscientific insight in learning processes. ** *What we expect from you* Candidates should have a PhD and post-doctoral experience in cognitive and/or affective neuroscience. We expect a broad expertise in human experimental work and state-of-the-art fMRI analysis methodology. The candidate should have an established track record and be of sufficient calibre to ultimately attain a senior position within the field. The candidate should be focused on developing his/her potential as well the potential of the PhD students. The candidate has a good inside in self-management and actively builds networks. ** *What we have to offer* -1.0 fte employment -an 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% end-of-year bonus -a salary between scale 10 and 11 (CAO UMC) per month (depending on your career stage and experiance). Max of scale 10 is €4070, max of scale 11 is €4747,- -a 3-year appointment -mentoring and support in long-term career development
