Faculty Position – Cognitive Neuroscience. The Department of Psychology at the University
of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill invites applications for a tenure-track position at
the Assistant Professor level, to begin July 1, 2015. The research focus of a successful
candidate should be in the area of cognition. We are particularly interested in candidates
who approach the study of cognition at different points of development from the
perspectives of cognitive neuroscience (e.g., fMRI, ERP), or behavior genetics (e.g.,
epigenetics), or both. Scientists who focus on cognition (especially memory, attention,
perception, or language) in infants and children, young adults, and/or the elderly are
welcome to apply for this position. Each candidate should have an excellent record of
research productivity, the potential to develop an independent and internationally
recognized research program, and a commitment to teaching at the graduate and
undergraduate levels. Having active grant funding and/or a successful history of grant
support is desirable. This position is intended to expand our training programs in
