As the year draws to a close, here is your last installment of weekly updates.

YNiC will be offline from Wednesday 17th of December to Friday 19th December to complete some system updates. This will include the remote desktops, the desktops in Open Plan, the YNiC Cluster and the scanner booking systems. 

The scanners will be unavailable from the 21st of December to the 5th of January. The remote desktops, YNiC cluster and Open Plan will be accessible during this time, however there will be very limited user support from YNiC staff. We will be back in YNiC and will respond to support tickets from the 5th of January. 

If you are aware of any new students/staff that will require access to YNiC and/or an IT account, they must attend a YNiC user induction. The next monthly induction will be on Tuesday the 6th of January, at 10:00am. Please ask them to contact support@ynic.york.ac.uk to sign up.

MRI Level 0 Training: Tuesday the 6th of January 13:00-15:00.

MEG Level 0 Training: Wednesday the 7th of January, 13:00-15:00.

Please note that users requesting Level 0 training should be a PhD, RA/Postdoc, or staff, and should already have a project proposal submitted to YNiC. Please email support@ynic.york.ac.uk if you have any questions or wish to book on to this session. Please note that sessions are limited to 4 trainees, which will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
