Over the past five years Psychology has undergone a period of rapid expansion resulting in a vibrant research and learning culture. We currently have two research groups in 'Cognition' (with laboratories in Attention & Memory, Face Processing, and Visual Cognition) and 'Health and Wellbeing' (with specialisms in Eating Behaviour, Wellbeing in Older Adults, and Clinical Psychology).
We also have emerging and potential research growth in Eye tracking, Cyberpsychology, Forensic Psychology and eHealth. Facilities supporting our teaching and research include mobile and static eye tracking, virtual environments, and a new state-of-the-art EEG laboratory. We are keen to receive applications from candidates who complement these areas of research strength and / or have experience of using such facilities.
You will be qualified to Doctorate level or be able to demonstrate the ability to create and disseminate knowledge at an equivalent level and the capability to convert this knowledge into a doctorate in a maximum of 3-5 years from the date of appointment. You will be research active and committed to a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.
