The PhD Research Fellow will be part of Traumatic Brain Injury group - Trondheim TBI group, which is a multidisciplinary group including clinicians and researchers from many different departments at the Faculty of Medicine (NTNU) and at St. Olavs Hospital, Trondheim University Hospital. The candidate will also collaborate with Trondheim fMRI group. The period of employment for the position is three years. The main goal of the project “Mild and moderate TBI” is to increase our understanding of the pathophysiological processes of traumatic brain injuries and of the complex aetiology of the long-term morbidity commonly seen after moderate and even mild injuries. The PhD project will focus on analyses of the longitudinal evolution of diffusion tensor imaging and diffusion kurtosis imaging (DTI/DKI) metrics and more in-depth studies of susceptibility to injury in different regions within the brain.
