Hi Everyone,

Please see below for information regarding a planned YNiC closure, availability in open plan this week and our regularly scheduled training sessions.

YNiC Closure
We have a closure scheduled for the 11th to the 15th of April. The scanners will not be available during this time and we will not be providing user support. Our main IT systems will be unavailable on the 11th and 12th of April, which will include access to the VPN, the remote desktop and the cluster.

Open Pan Availability
There will be limited availability in open plan this Wednesday (30th of March, 11am - 1pm), as the space is reserved for teaching.

YNiC Seminar
The next YNiC seminar will be on Thursday the 7th April at 4pm both in YNiC and via Zoom. We have a presentation from Professor Daniel Topgaard (https://www.physchem.lu.se/people/seniors/topgaard/), titled "Massively multidimensional diffusion-relaxation MRI of the human brain" (zoom meeting details: https://york-ac-uk.zoom.us/j/91726652237 Meeting ID: 917 2665 2237, Password: YO10).

YNiC User Inductions
If you are aware of any new students/staff that will require access to YNiC and/or an IT account, they must attend a YNiC user induction.  Our next induction will be Wednesday the 6th of April, at 10:00.  Please ask them to contact support@ynic.york.ac.uk to sign up.

Level 0 operator training:
The next L0 training session will be held on Wednesday the 6th of April, 13:00-15:00.  Please note that users requesting Level 0 training should be a PhD, RA/Postdoc, or staff, and should already have a project proposal submitted to YNiC.  Please email support@ynic.york.ac.uk if you have any questions or wish to book on to this session. Please note that sessions are limited to 4 trainees, which will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Training must be booked at least a week before the session date, in order to reserve the scanner booking.

Have a great week!

Many thanks,
Jennifer
