Applications are invited for a PhD position in the Department of
Neurosciences at the KU Leuven, Belgium.
The candidate will work with Jan Jastorff and Mathieu Vandenbulcke,
investigating the emotion circuits in the brain of healthy volunteers
and patients with neurodegeneration. The ideal candidate will have good
programming skills and an interest in affective neuroscience and
neuroimaging. Over the course of the project, the student will develop
skills in state-of-art imaging techniques, including structural and
functional MRI, DTI and combined fMRI-TMS.
The candidate should have a Diploma/Master in psychology, neuroscience,
engineering or computer science. Experience in neuroimaging and
proficiency in programming (e.g. Matlab) is highly desired. Excellent
communication skills in English are essential; proficiency in Dutch is a
plus.
