Research Scientist Position Available Department of Psychiatry Columbia University Job Description: Applications for Research Scientist Position are currently being invited. Candidates must have completed a PhD in cognitive neuroscience or related field. The principal objective of our work is use multimodal MRI techniques to enable a better understanding of the neurobiological bases of mood and attentional disorders in children and young adults. We also focus on the use of MRI techniques to examine and elucidate the mechanisms by which psychiatric treatments are effective. Salary: $50,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience Minimum Qualifications: PhD in cognitive neuroscience or related field Computer programming skills (e.g., in C/C++, Python, MATLAB) Strong skills in operating of one or more common neuroimaging packages (e.g., AFNI, FSL, or SPM) Additional Qualifications: Close attention to detail Solid communication and writing skills Interested candidates should contract: Jonathan Posner, MD jep2111(a)columbia.edu
