To clarify, the next COGS session will be on 6th November (at 11am) and will be led by Ramya Balakrishnan, discussing "What are connectivity gradients and how can they be used to understand cognitive problems after stroke?".
Please join us at YNiC for the session, all staff and students are very welcome.
We will not convene for a YNiC seminar (nor COGS) this week as it is consolidation week :).

Hello,

Please see details below regarding upcoming inductions, training sessions, this week's YNiC COGS meeting and our weekley drop-in session.

YNiC User Inductions
If you are aware of any new students/staff that will require access to YNiC and/or an IT account, they must attend a YNiC user induction. Our next induction will be on Tuesday the 5th of November, at 10:00am. Please ask them to contact support@ynic.york.ac.uk to sign up.

Level 0 operator training
The next L0 training session will be held on Wednesday the 6th of November, 13:00-15:00. Please note that users requesting Level 0 training should be a PhD, RA/Postdoc, or staff, and should already have a project proposal submitted to YNiC.  Please email support@ynic.york.ac.uk if you have any questions or wish to book on to this session. Please note that sessions are limited to 4 trainees, which will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.

COGS: Wednesday, 11am at YNiC
This week's COGS session will be led by Ramaya Balakrishnan, discussing "What are connectivity gradients and how can they be used to understand cognitive problems after stroke?". Please join us at YNiC for the session, all staff and students are very welcome.

If you are interested in leading a COGS session or giving a Seminar talk, please get in touch (jennifer.ashton@york.ac.uk). You can see the full YNiC events schedule here: www.ynic.york.ac.uk/events

YNiC Drop-In - Wednesday afternoons
On Wednesday afternoons, there will be a YNiC research tech (or two) working out in open plan. If you are struggling with something, or would prefer to ask for help in person, this would be the perfect time to come and work over in YNiC, have a chat and get some help :)
(This is in addition to our usual support ticketing system, and of course you can come and knock on the office door at any time!)

Have a great week!

Many thanks,
Jennifer
