2-Year Postdoctoral Fellowship MEG, Motor Control and Autism Brain Dynamics and Cognition Lab Lyon Neuroscience Research Center, France Applications are invited for a 2-year full-time Postdoctoral Position at the Brain Dynamics and Cognition Lab of the Lyon Neuroscience Research Center (CRNL) in Lyon to work on an MEG motor control study in adults and children. The post-doc is part of an exciting new project recently funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR SAMENTA) which aims to explore the large-scale brain dynamics of motor control in healthy subjects and its alteration in autism. Key requirements The ideal candidate will have a PhD in neuroscience, cognitive sciences, neuroimaging or a related field and a strong interest in neuronal oscillations, cortico-muscular coupling, and large-scale brain dynamics. The candidate is expected to have a solid background in MEG data analysis (e.g. time-frequency analysis, source reconstruction techniques and connectivity measures) and good programming skills primarily in MATLAB. Additionally, a background in motor control and/or development studies will be beneficial. Fluency and solid writing skills in English are expected. French is not a requirement but could be an important asset. The Brain Dynamics and Cognition Lab (headed by Olivier Bertrand) is one of 11 teams that make up the Lyon Neuroscience Research Center which consists of about 350 researchers whose research covers an extremely broad range of neuroscience topics ranging from cells to organisms and from cognition to clinical applications. The imaging facilities and electrophysiological platforms available include MEG, EEG, MRI, PET, TMS and intracranial EEG. Lyon boasts a vibrant and stimulating neuroscience environment and a culturally rich city life. It is home of the Lumière brothers, the pioneers of cinema, and of Saint Exupéry (author of the Little Prince).
