Berghofer Institute of Medical Research would like to invite
applications for a 3-year Post Doc position starting as early as 1
November 2013.
The current project seeks to develop advanced neuroimaging techniques in
characterizing neurological and psychiatric diseases. The fellow is
expected to employ state-of-art imaging techniques, including structural
and functional MRI, EEG, DTI, combined with autonomic physiological
recording. Analysis will have an emphasis on functional and effective
connectivity, and cortical autonomic interaction. The ideal candidate
will have an interest in clinical neuroscience, fMRI methods
development, autonomic system, or a combination. The fellow is expected
to be involved with each stages of the project, and have ample
authorship opportunities.
Candidates must have a PhD degree in neuroscience, engineering, computer
science or equivalent academic qualifications. Training in neuroimaging
and proficiency programming (in Matlab, C++, or R) is required;
experience in multivariate approaches and combined fMRI-EEG in
particular is a plus. Basic knowledge about the human brain is highly
desired. Excellent communication skills in English are essential.
