Hello Everyone,
*YNiC Closure*
YNiC will be closed between the *19th of December and 9th of January*. This
will include access to the scanners, user support and open plan. The remote
desktop will remain available throughout this time period (users will be
notified if any planned maintenance to the remote desktop will stop access).
*Changes to Procedures*
Participants are no longer required to sign the 'Covid Consent Form' when
taking part in experiments at YNiC.
*YNiC User Inductions*
If you are aware of any new students/staff that will require access to
YNiC and/or
an IT account, they must attend a YNiC user induction. Our next induction
will be *Wednesday the 7th of December, at 10:00*. Please ask them to
contact support(a)ynic.york.ac.uk to sign up.
*Level 0 operator training*
*The next L0 training session will be held on Wednesday the 14 of December,
13:00-15:00. * Please note that users requesting Level 0 training should be
a PhD, RA/Postdoc, or staff, and should already have a project proposal
submitted to YNiC. Please email support(a)ynic.york.ac.uk if you have any
questions or wish to book on to this session. Please note that sessions are
limited to 4 trainees, which will be allocated on a first-come first-served
basis. Training must be booked at least a week before the session date, in
order to reserve the scanner booking.
*YNiC Seminar*
The next YNiC seminar will be *tomorrow* *(1st of December) *with a talk
from *Matthew Westerman *from the University of Huddersfield, with a talk
titled "*An investigation into the relationship between the occipital
cortex and choice behaviour under ambiguous conditions*". Refreshments will
