NOBODY should discuss, either between themselves or with the participant scanned, anything they think they may or may not have seen on that participant's MRI scan. This applies while in the scan room while someone is being scanned, or after when looking at their data.

Anyone who sees something on a scan can bring any concerns to any member of YNiC staff. This should be done DISCRETELY (i.e. behind a closed door) as soon as possible after their scan session - do not call someone to the scan room or stand in open plan and say "I saw something weird in this person's brain".

Discussing potentially sensitive details about someone's MRI scan could constitute a breach of confidentiality and there could be very serious  consequences - Just don't do it.

Please rest assured that we have processes in place to have participants' scans reviewed by medical professionals if required. And we implement those processes as discretely as we can. Please help us do that.

Sincerely,

--
André
