Applications are invited for the position of Research Programme
Coordinator at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London.
The post holder will play a central role co-ordinating PSYSCAN, a large
multi-centre programme funded by Framework 7. PSYSCAN involves a
consortium of leading academic centres (including Iop and the
Universities of Cambridge, Edinburgh, Utrecht, Maastricht, Madrid &
Melbourne), and companies with expertise in the development of
diagnostic tools and new treatments (IXICO, Cambridge Cognition,
Hoffman-LaRoche, Eli Lilly). The programme comprises a series of
projects, including the analysis of datasets previously collected by the
consortium, the development of novel image analysis software, the
acquisition of new neuroimaging data from the centres in the consortium,
and the development, validation and implementation of a new clinical
tool. The aim of the PSYSCAN tool is allow clinicians to use
neuroimaging and other data to predict outcomes in individuals at high
risk for psychosis, or who have recently developed psychosis. For more
