A postdoctoral position funded by the Medical Research Council UK is available in the research group led by Dr. Bhisma Chakrabarti (www.bhismalab.org). The project studies reward and empathy in Autism using fMRI and psychophysiology.
This position will be focused primarily on the analysis and subsequent write-up of fMRI data that has been collected in people with and without autism. Experience with scientific programming (e.g. in Matlab or Python) and a sound understanding of statistics will be essential for this role.
The position is fixed term for 18 months from November 2014.
The ideal candidate will have:
- PhD in a relevant discipline
- Experience in MRI data analysis
- Experience in writing research papers and grant applications
Candidates with experience in advanced analysis of fMRI data will be at an advantage. Previous relevant experience in emotion/autism research will be advantageous, but is not essential.
