Last night, an email appearing to be from the Student Loans Company asking students to update their accounts was received by a number of people at the University. This email is not genuine and is an attempt to defraud students. If you have received this email, please do not click the link in the email and do not enter your personal details.

If you have already visited the website and given your details, please contact your bank and then the Student Loans Company as a matter of urgency.

We would also ask that all those who have submitted their details inform IT Services by emailing itsupport@york.ac.uk.
