*Overview:*
Research in the "Spatio-temporal brain imaging laboratory", uses
multimodal functional imaging methods including electro- and
magnetoencephalography as well as structural and functional magnetic
resonance imaging (MRI) to investigate "where and when" characteristics
of distributed neural circuits underlying cognitive and affective
functions such as decision making, inhibitory control, language, and
emotion perception. Of particular interest are alcohol-related
impairments of self-regulatory functions in the context of
neurotransmitter genetic markers. We also collaborate on projects
focusing on brain-based disorders such as autism.
The primary responsibilities of the post-doctoral scholar will include
designing studies, optimizing analysis protocols in the context of a
multimodal anatomically-constrained MEG/EEG method, integrating fMRI and
genetic results, analyzing and interpreting data, and writing up
manuscripts and presenting results to scientific community. This
fellowship includes opportunities for development and implementation of
novel approaches to data analysis, as well as potential for seeking
independent funding
The position is an overtime exempt classification intended to cover the
employee with a doctoral degree or equivalent who is employed for a
defined period of mentored advanced training to enhance professional
skills and research independence in the fellow’s academic discipline.
This position is not intended to be part of a clinical training program.
The postdoctoral research fellow works under the supervision of an SDSU
faculty member.

Preferred qualifications*
* Strong motivation to carry out neuroimaging studies in the domain of
cognitive functions with a particular emphasis on alcohol effects on
the brain
* Demonstrated experience with MEG/EEG biophysics, source estimation
algorithms, and signal processing
* Additional experience with structural and functional MR imaging and
analysis streams is a plus
* Excellent verbal communication and writing skills; organizational
skills and leadership potential and experience with external funding
applications
* Demonstrated ability to work independently but collaboratively in a
changing, multiple-demand setting and ability to prioritize work
load dynamically and meet deadlines efficiently
* Programming (Matlab) competence
Starting salary: $44,000.

The Department of Experimental Psychology at the

Regular working hours will be (currently 39.8 hours per week) with a
limited contract of 3 years with a possible extension of another 3 years

Our group studies the behavioral and neural mechanisms of processing of
unconscious visual stimuli and masked priming. We use psychophysical
(RT, Eye-Movements), physiological (EEG, fMRI, tDCS), and
phenomenological approaches to better understand these mechanisms.

You will have the opportunity to perform basic research and will be
intimately involved in all aspects of data collection, analyses, and the
publication of results. The research project focusses on physiological
approaches to priming and visual masking. It is expected that you
develop a new branch of research within this field and gain
corresponding funding. You will teach courses as defined in Section 31
of the Higher Education Act of Lower Saxony (NHG) in the Bachelor and
Master of Psychology programs in German. Administrative duties including
supervising student coworkers, maintaining protocols, subject
recruitment and scheduling, and record keeping related to active studies
will also be required.

functional MR Neuroimaging*
A postdoctoral position for *18 months *is available in the research
team Body and Cognition at the Laboratory of Integrative and Associative
Neuroscience (LNIA, UMR7260 CNRS-AMU) in Marseilles, France.
We are seeking a highly motivated researcher with a strong background in
advanced analysis of _functional MR data_ such as connectivity analysis.
The successful candidate will be involved in the /Multisense/ project,
which aims to understand how the brain integrates multisensory signals
to build a unified perception of self-body movements. Neuroimaging
experiments will be conducted in young and old healthy subjects to study
the impact of age on multisensory processing.
LNIA collaborates with the fMRI Marseille center equipped with a 3T MR
scanner, which is dedicated to research only.
The primary duties/responsibilities of the position involve direct
engagement in all aspects of research, including: protocol development
and management, implementation of experiments, participant recruitment,

A postdoctoral position for 24 months is available immediately at the Clinical Imaging Core Facility (CI2C) - INSERM U1171, University Hospital of Lille, France. Our laboratory is specialized in clinical, cognition, and multimodal MR imaging studies of Neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer, Vascular dementia and Parkinson diseases) and is directed by Pr. Xavier Leclerc, MD, PhD (Director of CI2C) and Pr. Régis Bordet, MD, PhD (Director of INSERM U1171 team).
The postdoctoral candidate will develop new neuroimaging analysis pipelines. The applicant will perform multimodal and voxel based imaging analyses of structural, functional MRI and DTI images (such as connectivity analysis) to address clinical research questions in patients with neurodegenerative diseases.
Additional roles include leadership and active participation in project management activities including the administration of research projects, as well as supervision of postgraduate students.
CI2C - INSERM U1171 team has a 3T MR scanner entirely dedicated to research with MR-compatible equipments (several head coils, monitor / screen for fMRI experiments, MR-compatible EEG system). Our team is involved in several multicenter projects (national and international).
Desired skills and experience:
Applicants must have completed a graduate degree (PhD) or similar degree in neuroscience with relevant experience in multimodal imaging.
The applicant must have experience in signal processing, functional MRI or diffusion tensor imaging, the use of neuroimaging software packages such as SPM, Freesurfer, Matlab, and FSL.
