Dear YNiC researchers,
I'm pleased to say we have just been awarded an internal equipment
renewal grant to replace the majority of our PCs in YNiC (stimulus and
open plan PCs), purchase a decent chunk of central storage, and a few
other bits and bobs. This will be purchased and rolled out between now
and July 2025. This should massively improve things at YNiC, so I'm
really grateful to all who contributed to the application but biggest
thanks to Joe Lyons. We'll obviously try to keep disruption to a
minimum, but there is a lot of new devices to setup etc so please bear
with us during this time.
Have a good Winter Break/Christmas/New Year. We look forward to
supporting all the awesome neuroscience you have planned in 2025!
Best wishes,
Aidan

*Potential Disruption in Open Plan*
This week there will be PAT testing happening throughout the centre. There
may be some disruption to Open Plan, however we hope this will be minimal.
MRI and MEG will be unaffected, so there will be no disruption to any
planned scans.
*YNiC Fob Access*
We are still in the process of deactivating YNiC fobs associated with
individuals who no longer use the centre. We will do our very best to
ensure that fobs currently in use are not affected, however there is the
chance your fob may get deactivated if it has not been named on the system
correctly, or has been passed between individuals. If your fob no longer
works, we can reactivate it straight away, please just ask at reception or
a member of staff.
