Henderson and Dr Elaine van Rijn on "MR correlates of sleep parameters";
the talk will be in YNiC open plan and will be followed by refreshments.
*IMPORTANT:* Please be aware that next Tuesday 14th May we will be running
clinical scanning on GE, which will overlap with the MSc scanning on
Siemens. If you are scanning during these sessions please act
professionally, particularly around the reception and MRI corridor.

Hi everyone
We have some bonus news for you this week at YNiC:
1. This* Thursday 2nd May at 4pm *we will have two project presentations
from Dr David Pitcher's lab: "TMS investigation of object priming" and "TMS
investigation of face pareidolia". Talks will be held in open plan and
shall be followed by refreshments.
2. As you may be aware we have another Bank Holiday on* Monday 6th May*,
and therefore the Centre will be *closed*.
We hope to see you on Thursday afternoon for the presentations!

Hi all
This week the MSc projects will begin on both scanners, and will continue
for the next 10 weeks, so the scanners will be continually busy over this
period.
Please be aware that during busy scanning periods it can take longer for
data to appear in subject folders, particularly for subjects that have
never been scanned before. We will always check that data gets sent, so
please *only* contact if an incomplete dataset has come through for a
subject e.g. one scan is missing from a scan session.

Hi there,
There is a *slot available from 15:45 until 17:00 tomorrow in the Siemens*
in case you anyone is interested.
The slot is currently booked for my project (P1370). However, the
participant scheduled is not willing to come tomorrow for his second day of
scanning and -because of the experimental design- we cannot recruit anyone
new at this point.

Hi everyone
There are a couple of things you should be aware of over the coming weeks:
1. The GE scanner is now fully operational, so scanning slots can be
booked. Thanks again for your patience during the unexpected downtime.
2. A large proportion of YNiC staff will be away for the MEG UK
conference from Monday 15th to Wednesday 17th April, and therefore support
will be limited during this period.
*Specifically, if you need Level 3 signatures for any scanning on these
days they must be obtained no later than 12th April (n.b. signatures should
always be arranged before the scan day). *

*YNiC will be closed for the Bank Holidays on 19th and 22nd April *
4. We have provisionally scheduled our next User Induction for Thursday
18th April at 10am, subject to availability and interest. Please ask any
relevant students/staff to email support(a)ynic.york.ac.uk to sign up if
they intend to start using the centre.
