Hi all,
Please take particular note of a change to the general consent form
described below.
*Change to the YNiC General Consent form*
*The general consent form has been updated to specifically request 'Sex as
assigned at birth', where we previously requested 'Sex'. *This
clarification has been made to provide the appropriate data for MRI
operators to enter in the scanner to maintain participant safety. Please
let a member of YNiC staff know if your general consent details need
updating for any reason.

Hello
There was a brief power outage that has affected some of the services at
YNiC at about 6pm. The remote desktop nodes are currently down and we're
working to being them back up again.
We're let you know when things are back online.
Thanks

Dear YNiC users,
As many of you will know, the MEG system at YNiC suffered a technical
failure last year that has prevented us from offering MEG facilities for
some time. We have designed and fitted new electronics to rectify the
fault, and more recently, we have undertaken testing to establish that we
can reliably collect good quality data. This work is now complete, and the
MEG system is once again ready to make recordings.
As such, we are now offering MEG recording facilities with the proviso that
the system has not yet undergone long-term testing, so we are unable to
guarantee reliability. However, we can offer the assurance that in the
event that recordings are spoiled due to equipment failures, projects will
be reimbursed all charges.
We are doing everything within our power to ensure the ongoing quality of
MEG recordings: the stability of the power supply is constantly being
monitored, and regular quality assurance recordings are being performed. As
ever, we advise that researchers inspect their data as soon as possible
after collection and let us know if they have any concerns.
I will contact users who we know are waiting to run MEG projects separately
to make arrangements to commence recording, and we welcome any new project
applications.
If you would like any further information regarding MEG at YNiC, please
contact us at support(a)ynic.york.ac.uk .
Cheers,
Rich
