The Magnetic Resonance Imaging lab of the Center for Neuroscience and Cognitive Systems (Rovereto, Italy, cncs.iit.it) has two immediate 9-month research assistant (internship) openings.
Two main research themes will be pursued:
A – Voxel-based methods to map the mouse functional and structural connectome. The intern will implement methods to transform 4D fMRI timeseries and DTI Tractographic datasets in graphs for connectomic analyses
B – Use of functional MRI to map altered neurofunctional states and neurotransmitter reactivity. We are looking for an intern that will implement voxel-based methods to map structural and functional alterations in mouse disease models of the central nervous system
The positions are ideally suited for graduates who wish to sharpen their research skills before continuing to postgraduate study. Applicants must have a master degree in engineering, computer science, physics, biotechnology, neuroscience or a related discipline, and familiarity with computational or statistical methods for image analysis in a linux environment. Hands-on experience in computer programming, prior independent research experience, and/or statistics is strongly desirable. The salary will be commensurate to qualification and in line to that of top European research institutes.
The MRI lab at the CNCS is equipped with a state-of–the-art 7 Tesla MRI scanner for preclinical research, and has a successful record in the development and implementation of advanced MR imaging methods to describe multiple facets of brain structure and function in a preclinical setting.

The Travis Research Institute invites applications for a Two-Year
Postdoctoral Fellow to work on the neuroimaging of decision making with
a focus on moral action and virtue. The successful candidate will join
an interdisciplinary team led by Professor Steven Quartz (Caltech),
Prof. Warren Brown (Fuller), Prof. Kevin Reimer (Fresno Pacific
University), and Prof. Michael L. Spezio (Scripps College and Caltech)
and will work on multimodal imaging (dwMRI, MRI, fMRI, dEEG) of human
brain structure and function during decision making related to moral

Research experience in collection and analysis of neuroimaging data
(MRI/fMRI) and EEG data collection and analysis is required. An
independent work style and solid knowledge of programming in SPM, fsl,
and R are desired. There is also a requirement for travel within the
United States to 2 to 3 data collection meetings, each lasting about a
week, for on-site EEG and behavioral data collection with a rare special
population of long-term care givers.Excellent interpersonal skills in
working with participants is required, since the successful candidate
will conduct in-depth, one-on-one, semi-structured interviews with
participants. Familiarity with the neuroscience of moral action and
virtue is not a requirement, but experience in decision research, moral

We are seeking a post-doctoral research associate with a strong interest
in the development of neuroimaging methodology. The post-holder would
work on a human neuroimaging project, funded by the UK EPSRC, which aims
to develop MRI methods for measuring human brain oxygen consumption as a

involve developing MRI data acquisition and analysis strategies based
around BOLD FMRI and ASL measurement of cerebral blood flow (CBF). The

measurements as part of the project.

We are seeking a post-doctoral research associate to work closely with
Dr. Kevin Murphy in CUBRIC, School of Psychology, Cardiff University on
a 5 year research programme funded by the Wellcome Trust. The
post-holder will be involved in neuroimaging studies of neurovascular
coupling, investigating age-related alterations in the relationship
between neural activity and regional blood supply. They will be expected
to acquire and analyse MRI/MEG data in both young and elderly volunteers.
The motivation for this research programme stems from the fact that the
fMRI BOLD signal is not a direct measure of neuronal activity. When
comparing groups using this technique, the implicit assumption that
neurovascular coupling properties are equivalent is made. Any
alterations in cerebrovascular dynamics lead to BOLD differences that
are unrelated to neuronal activity. Using an elderly group as a model
for altered coupling, this project will investigate such BOLD
differences, not only developing suitable correction strategies to
uncover BOLD signal purely related to neural activity but also to use
the vascular component as a measure of cerebrovascular health. The
post-holder will assist with final objective of research program which
is to translate cerebrovascular models that have been developed into
young/elderly group comparisons by testing their ability to characterise
group differences that are present in MEG-derived neuronal activity
measures.
Applicants should be experienced in the analysis of neuroimaging or
neurophysiological data and should have / or be due to submit a PhD
relevant to this or related fields. The ability to communicate well with
scientific colleagues and participants in our experiments is essential.

distances between shapes. In particular, shape representations using
directly the surface of the shapes, such as currents, and those using

ability to capture global, local, or multiscale directional information
is of particular interest. The goal is to produce methods that can be
used to perform cortical morphometrics and characterize cortical folding

The Advanced Pediatric Brain Imaging Research Laboratory in Diagnostic Imaging& Radiology has openings for 3 positions. The goal of our laboratory is to study normal development, and the causes and consequences of early life brain injury in the high-risk fetus and newborn infant. The current research in the laboratory includes development of novel MRI pulse sequences and advanced image analysis techniques to develop early and reliable biomarkers of injury to the developing brain.Facilities include a 16-node computational cluster running linux, each equipped with multicore CPUs and GPU capabilities. 1- MRI Clinical Research Coordinator
Position Summary: The MRI Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) position requires significant prior experience in MRI clinical research and image processing.
