YNiC is in the Biocentre, a building within the York Science Park.

The Science Park is next to the University of York campus which is very close to the centre of the City of York.

As you enter the Science Park, along Innovation Way, the Biocentre is the second building on the left-hand side, just past the Innovation Centre. When you reach the Biocentre, the entrance to YNiC is to the rear of the car park on the right-hand side of the building.

The best access is from the A64 east of York. Turn off the A64 at the A1079 exit, marked University. Follow the directions to the University. When you reach Heslington village you will be at a roundabout with a large, old, red brick building on the other side of the roundabout. This is Heslington Hall. Turn right at this roundabout. At the next roundabout turn right into the Science Park.

If you are coming from the A19, travel to Fulford village and turn along Heslington Lane or Broadway towards Heslington. This brings you to Heslington Hall on your left-hand side. Turn left at Heslington village roundabout. At the next roundabout, turn right into the Science Park.

If you travel along the Hull road, the A1079, you can also get to the Science park via Green Dykes Lane. This leads to University Road. At the end of University Road, turn left into the Science Park. For multimap or streetmap please use the postcode YO10 5NY to find the Science Park.

York is on the main East Coast Line between London King's Cross and Scotland as well as on the major cross-country routes from the South Coast, the West country, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham. There are direct services to and from Birmingham and Manchester airports.

London and Birmingham are two hours away. Manchester one hour forty minutes, Newcastle upon Tyne is one hour away and Leeds just twenty minutes.

National Express buses stop at the railway station. The Science Park is two miles from the railway station and you will need to hire a bike, get a bus or hire a taxi to get to YNiC.

The number 66 bus runs from immediately outside the railway station to the Science Park every 10-15 minutes. Do not catch the number 4 even though the bus will say University of York on the front. The number 4 does not stop anywhere near the part of the campus near us. Taxis can be hired at the station. Ask for the Biocentre in the Science Park.

Bikes can be hired at the station. There are many bicycle routes around York and there is a pleasant route along the river, across Walgate Stray (past the barracks) to the University campus. The Science Park is on the North East edge of the campus.
